Our best price on asparagus! Fresh cut from our field! We have always encouraged our customers to freeze any extra asparagus they have left over. While it won’t thaw out to be crisp, it makes a beautiful soup with all the same nutrients and antitoxins. Enjoy mother nature’s gift all year long.
Freezing tips: For pureed soup, simply wash, chop and freeze in a freezer bag – cook from frozen. Alternatively, to maintain a little more of the original texture, try blanching it by dunking it into a pot of boiling water for a minute or two and immediately transferring it into ice cold water. Then, drain, package and freeze in desired portion size.
